On Friday March 2nd, 5:30-8pm, The Arts of Kenmore invites the public to our Gallery Opening Reception for Hispanic Arts & Culture. This was a juried show by judges Alfredo Arreguín and Juan Alonso-Rodríguez.
This exhibit features culturally interpretative works by 10 local artists of Hispanic/Latino heritage, and curated to enrich and engage our growing community on the north side. There will be awards, music and refreshments served.
FEATURED ARTISTS: Rene Julio Díaz, William Garza, Rodolfo Ríos Garza, Laura Grover, Hugo Moro, Sylvia Kurin, Beth McBeth Perez, Ruben Rodriguez-Joya, Diana School, and Angie Hinojos Yusuf.
Alfredo Arreguín is an internationally renowned artist and recipient of an OHTLI Award, the Mexican government's highest recognition of distinguished individuals who contribute to promote Mexican culture abroad. His artworks are in the Smithsonian's permanent collections at the National Museum of American Art and the National Portrait Gallery. Juan Alonso-Rodríguez is a Seattle Arts Commissioner and a vital advocate for emerging artists throughout the Pacific Northwest. His works are included in permanent collections at the Tacoma Art Museum, Portland Art Museum, Museum of Northwest Art, Microsoft, Swedish & Harborview Hospitals and General Mills. Juan has also created public artworks for Century Link Field, SeaTac International Airport, King County Housing Authority, Sound Transit's Light Rail, and local school campuses. juanalonsostudio.com

The Kenmore City Hall Gallery works along side of The Arts of Kenmore organization to promote local artists and promote local art events. With their continued support we have had successful local events and an amazing annual Kenmore Art Show. The Arts of Kenmore has a curator, Sara Hayashi, who works many hours to put out exhibits.
